We hope that your stay at The Bothy will be an enjoyable one. Please read the following terms before making a booking:

Reservations

· A deposit of 25% is payable on booking to confirm your reservation. The full balance is payable 8 weeks prior to your arrival.

· Any bookings made less than 8 weeks before arrival are payable in full at time of booking.

· Bookings made by telephone or email will be held for 7 days, to be confirmed on receipt of deposit. The booking will be cancelled if the deposit is not received within 10 days.

· Payments can be made by UK cheque or credit/debit card via Paypal.

· All bookings are made in good faith that The Bothy will be available to you on the arranged date. If it is not available, due to circumstances beyond the owner’s control, alternative accommodation cannot be provided. In such circumstances, the deposit and balance will be fully reimbursed, and the client will have no further claim against the owner.

Your stay

· The Bothy will be ready for you by 4pm on day of arrival, and must be vacated by 10am on day of departure.

· Please collect the keys from Devonside Cottage, next door to The Bothy, on arrival.

· If you plan to arrive after 5pm, please advise the owner in advance.

· Bed linen and towels are provided at no extra cost.

· Electricity, hot water and heating are provided at no extra cost. The Bothy is well insulated and needs very little heating. However, on colder days the oil fired central heating is set on a timer to come on in the morning and evenings. If the weather is exceptionally cold additional heating can be provided during the day. The combination boiler means that hot water is available on demand. Logs for the wood burning stove can be purchased locally.

· Please leave The Bothy tidy on departure and report any damages. A cleaning surcharge may be levied if it is left in an inappropriate condition.

· Any damages or losses to the property and/or contents during your stay will be charged in full.

· A maximum of 2 people are permitted to stay in The Bothy; please do not exceed this number.

· The owner reserves the right to remove persons from the property due to unreasonable behaviour, damage to the property or exceeding the stated occupancy. In this case refund will be at the discretion of the owner.

· No pets are permitted on the premises.

· No smoking is permitted on the premises.

Insurance

· Visitors are advised to take out holiday insurance to minimise the cost and inconvenience of cancelled or curtailed bookings and cover loss or damage to personal belongings.

· The owner will not be responsible for any loss, damage or personal injury not caused through the fault of the owner.

· Vehicles, luggage and contents are left in The Bothy at their owner’s risk.

Cancellation

· To cancel a reservation, please notify the owner immediately by telephone or email. I will endeavour to re-let the booking, in which case you will be reimbursed in full less any banking/paypal charges that have been incurred by the owner.

· If  I am unable to re-let, the following costs will be incurred:

o If cancellation is more than 8 weeks before booking commences, the deposit will be forfeited.

     o If  cancellation is less than 8 weeks before booking commences, the full cost of rental (deposit plus full balance) will be payable.
